    GPS Reception In Snow Storm

    Is anyone else having problems with satalite to collar signals in light snow storms? We seem to be having a lot of problems latley.

    Oh yes, snow in the air causes poor reception. Seen it many times.

    calibrate compass

    What I have most problem with is calibrating the compass on the 320, when there is a lot of snow in air.

    I Have noticed the same thing when running beagles in the thickets with heavy snow but never a light snow in the air have you checked your connection where the antenna attach to the receiver on the collar might be getting wet

    This is happening to new collars, older collars, dc30s and dc40s. Would not say in lite snow but with a lot of cloud cover and snow. I had not thought of the snow in the trees....could be. But think of your satellite TV....mine will loose reception in a snow storm or heavy cloud/rain storm in the summer......
